Won driving; second and third the same. Uetitor, after being rearward in the early running, closed up steadily and, in a fast finish, got up right; at the end aided by clear stretch sailing. Mail: Antony II. maintained close pursuit of the pacemakers to tile stretch and was crowded and forced to pull up, then finished fast. Cressina broke slowly, but improved her position steadily into a fast going third. Lady Anne made the running for live furlongs, then tired and was crowded back. Golden Shore showed speed, hut tired. Judge While was moving up fast at the time he fell, was remounted and nnished second. Paprika fenced iworly, but would have beaten the winner had he stood up. Restigouclie was knocked back early, ran on the extreme outside and was carried hopelessly wide, but closed up rapidly In the last three, furlongs. Imitator finished fast. Big Chief ran in forward contention to the stretch, then quit badlv. The others were always outpaced. Xealon established a Quick lead and made the running hard held by a wide gap throughout and was im-heasurably best in the going. Dandelion, handicapped by the going, ran in forward pursuit from the start and was a fast going second after running a grand race. Beacon Light maintained nearest pursuit of the winner for nearly a mile and an eighth, hut tired finally after a superior effort. Salvidere, messed about and shullled back in the middle running, nnished well and was short. Carthage, away poorly and carried wide on the first turn, closed up at the end. Oxford showed brilliant speed in the middle half, but disliked the track. Temaceo ran fairly well. Good Luck moved up rapidly when beglnniii" the last mile, drew out at the Half and appeared all over the winner to the last furlong, but succumlied .readily to Lancastrian. Brancas set the pace for the first mile and dropped hack then came i-iin gamely. Banker closed up steadily in the last mile and Is good. G. L. M. was a prominent contender tor a mile and a quarter. Quagga ran in close pursuit of the pacemakers for a mile and held on gamelv Ocean Spray quit. Miss Delaney was gaining at the end and had a rough journey. The others were badly outpaced. The winner was entered for ,300; 110 bid. Scratched Administrator, 104.
