Iilppewa broke slowly and was outrun for the first half, but went around on tlie outside witli a rush on tho turn and, coming fast in tlie last furlong, outstayed Paul Clifford at tlie end. The latter found a track that suited him and showed much speed for six furlongs, then tired. Master Lester ran under restraint until the race was practically over, then came witli a rush. Nellie Racine closed a gap and lnished fast. Judge Denton and Allerion showed .speed, hut tired. High Bear ran a bad race. Tlie winner was entered for 00; no bid.
