AMERICAN TURFMEN AND CANADA. Regarding racing in Canada next year the Buffalo Express- has the following comment to make: "Undoubtedly horsemen will not relish the idea of shorter meetings, with incident piling up of express and other expense charges, but the Canadians believe they have the hall at their feet and propose to rim things to suit themselves. They profess not to care if the small fry fall .by the wayside, when they have every assurance that they will get the best racing material on the continent next year, and plenty of it, too. All the Canadian tracks are planning increased inducements for the horsemen, and while the sport has suffered through adverse legislation In many parts of the United. States, there is every Teason to believe that under the conservative management which now seems to he the watchword, it will flourish across the border as never before."
