Mechlin established a quick lead and held sway to the end, but just lasted long enough. Combury, away poorly, closed up steadily into a rushing second. Plausible, on the Inside in close quarters and shuttled back at the half, closed a big gap on the extreme outside in the last half and was best. Sid Silver, away-poorly, ran into forward imrsuit, but tired in the closing drive. Rose Cherry, away badly, made up much ground. St. Joe failed to stay. Talentosa set the early pace and tired. Inrador, crowded back on the first turn, ran a fast middle quarter and was a game second. Colbert ran in keen contention throughout and is at his best. Melar was alwa.vs in forward ;iud persistent contention. Miss May Bowdish, away slowly and shuffled back, closed an immense gap. Eckersall drew out at the half, but tired finally. Milshora, shuffled steadily to the rear, closed a. big gap in the. last half. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Palo Alto, from tin inside flatfooted start, trailed early and closed a big gap in the last half into a fast, but swerving, second. Erbet set the early pace, but was crowded out at the half, then closed up into a fast going third. Trois Temp drew out on the backstretch and set a sizzling pace for the middle half, but tired and was crowded in the closing drive. Bon Homme, never dangerous, was given an easy race. Kaleigh, crowded out on the first turn, nearly fell, but quickly got into forward pursuit, was then crowded back and could not quite get up in a good race. L. C. Ackerley. away badly, closed a big gap in a cracking effort. Dareington, after prominent pursuit for six furlongs, tired and was short and overweighted. Clorerland made up ground in the last half. Sempronlum ran in inside forward pursuit in close quarters and was shut off when moving up on the far turn, then finished in the deepest going on the inside and was close up and very unlucky. Keep Moving ran forwardly throughout and is Improving. Joe Rose, away badly, closed up steadily and was gaining in the stretch. Clamor, out of place in short races, held his own throughout.
