CREATION FINALLY SCORES. STAYS A MILE AND WINS IN A GAME EFFORT UNDER MILLERS RIDING. Ocean Queen Takes the Star Race of the Day Lukcramus a Three-Year-Old Arrivals from Santa Anita Park. f San Francisco. Cal.. December IS. Thomas n. "Williams exquisitely bred three-year-old. Creation, topped off an efxtra good days racing by such a strenuously earned victory for horse and jockey that the big crowd present got up and yelled its approval noisily. Walter Millers jockeyship was the chief contributor to his success. The colors of Tim Sullivan were also carried to the front during the afternoon. Saraeinesca proving successful in the third race. For some unknown reason the oddis against the Bowery statesmans horse receded in the betting: until at post time there wns plenty of evens nuotel without takers. Saraeinesca went to the post in such a fashion that racegoers expected him to be beaten. They were agreeably disappointed when he set the pace throughout. The Viley Handicap, at seven furlongs, exclusively for two-year-olds, was the cards principal feature. The six good-class juveniles in it furnished spectacular and thrilling contention throughout. At the end Ocean Queen drew out and scored decisively. Hon Homme, despite his being palpably overweighted at 113 pounds, which involved an all-around concession of from ten to twenty-three pounds to the others, was favorite, though of the receding kind. Erbct. which finished a close third, displayed great improvement under the riding of a real jockey. Kockstone, long overdue, was linally properly placed and won the tifth race without, trouble. This horse has been "qualifying" for a very long time. This was his seventh start, though he had been scratched three times in the meantime. The layers took liberties with Rockstone at post time, but he won like a 1 to JO chance. Mechlin and Woolen accounted for the two remaining races. The running of the first, fourtlu fifth and sixth races called for si revision of figures on the part of form bettors. These were monopolized 1 outsiders, only two public choices making good. Woolen and Saraeinesca. In a controversy regarding the correct age of Lukeramus. Dr. Saylor. the otlicial veterinary, says that her sixth molar is well developed and therefore she must be a three-year-old. F. D. Weir claimed Gene Russell out of the tifth rait1 for .25. Three of H. L. Thomas horses, including Light Wool, arrived from Santa Anita today. I Harney Sehrclbers Oakland stable of racers has been considerably augmented by fresh arrivals from Santa Anita.
