Tamar broke slowly and had to go to the outside when entering the stretch and stood the last sixteenth drive resolutely. Aunt Polly showed speed, but tired. Albion H., while in a contending position next to the rail just after passing the far turn, was badly cnt off, being completely thrown out of the race. Elizabeth F. ran poorly. Warner Griswell set a sharp pace to the turn, where he was temporarily outrun by Joe Covne. then rallied and finished gamely, but at the final eighth post crossed Nattle Bumppo, for which he was disqualified, the latter getting second place and Cork Hill being placed third. Nattie Bumppo, in a . long stretch drive, finished fast. Cork Hill ran well, but fell away fast near the end. Joe Coyne ran I good mile and tired.
