READY FOR ACTION AT LATONIA. Small Derby Field, with Olambala a Hot Favorite. Feature of Today. Cincinnati. O.. May 24. — Latonias thirty ilas id racing, which liegins tomorrow, promises to meet witli every success judging by the local interest manifest and the number of out of-town race followers here. The club officials are sanguine that high-class racing will ensue and have gone to extremes to make it possible. In this they will he aided by the giHsl class of horses that will be seen ill action here. Probably never liefore have there Iteeu ill the aggregate a better band of racers assembled at tins track than at present. From various sections of the country horsemen have sent representatives and it is only natural to assume that the siiort will be the best witnessed here in many seasons. Tlie decision to operate with bookmakers here has caused a number of prominent layers to invade this section and indications point to twenty or more being in line tomorrow. Everything is in readiness to start the meeting. The plant is ill the best condition possible and tin- repairs made recently have improved it considerably.
