Tasley ran well, but was cut off on the turn out of the backstreteh and dropped back. Jubilee Juggins was sharply cut off on the backstretch aud lost Bract ground and ran a licttcr race than the chart shows. Bands Around went well. Byzantine moved up with a rush when going to the twelfth fence and appeared to have his opiioiicnts beaten at the last jump, but probably needed this race to key him up. Canvas jumiied well and showed the most early speed, but tired in the last half. Reginald ran out at the third jump. Mass— fell at the iirst and Denier lost his rider at the same jump. Pl.iiidinore showed much s| eed. but was used up in forcing and setting the pace in the early running. Occidental had a rough trip, was cut off on the turn out of the backstretch and crowded against the inside rail at the furlong post and ran a good race. Geuimell ran poorly.
