DUFFERIN PARK NEARING ITS END. Government Requires Closing by Saturday — Clubs Attorney Attempts Evasion, but Cabinet Act3. Toronto. Out.. Juno 15. — We fate of the outlaw meeting at Duffcrin Iark will be officially settled tomorrow. Just what will be done the governme.it does not announce, hut it seems certain that the lieutenant governor will sign an order canceling the charter of the York Riding and Driving Club and put au end to it. except for the purposes of winding it up and adjudicating claims of creditors. At the hearing today before the provincial secretary and attorne.v-generai no argument to which any importance was attached was offered in contravention of the charge that the charter was voided years ago by failure to operate. The government gave the oiubs attorney till three oclock this afternoon to tile an undertaking that the meeting would close by Saturday. A long communication was received, but as the pledge required was not given a cabinet meeting was held and action decided on. but the nature of the action will not he made public t!i! tomorrow.
