CALIFORNIA WOMAN WINS FOR FIRST TIME. Victoria. B. C. June 15. — Mrs. W. J. Jenkins of Oakland. Cal., who made several purchases at th ■ dispersal Kale of T. H. Williams racing stable, and who races under the nom de course of the Ontario Oregon Stable, won the first race of her career on the turf with On Parole here recently. As Mrs. Jenkins is possessed of plenty of this" worlds goods she is determined to stay with the snort, and iu the event of racing being resumed in California she Is planning to make extensive purchases of good horses.
