NOTES OF THE TURF. George Odom has been engaged to train Henry T. Oxnards horses. Barney Schreilier had ninety-three foals at Woodlands Farm this year. William Lakelands mare. Francolin. was mated with The Picket this year. Jockey F. Wootton. who was injured at the Ascot meeting, has recovered from the effects of his mis hap. The stable of racers formerly campaigned by J. B. Dunn is now the property of Albertson Bros, of Montana. Heine Radtke. brother of Herman Radtke. is probably the lightest rider on the American turf. He tips the scales at lifty-cight ouuds. Jack Davlsson. a former employe of the St. Louis tracks, died this week at Oklahoma City. He had recently been in the employ of Milt Moouey, a racing official at minor meetings. Frank Gardners Statesman lias been turned out at the breeding rami of W. S. Dlffenderfer, near Baltimore, and It Is thought that lie may train again next season. If lie falls to stand training lie will go into the stud. It was claimed that Beau Brummels bleeding in the third nice at I-ilonla Thursday was caused by an injury to the nose, caused by swerving Into the fence at the start. The bleeding continued for some time after the Ualsli of the race.
