KEENE YEARLINGS BRING BIG PRICES. Average of Over ,000 Each Obtained at Yesterdays Castleton Stud Sale. New York. July 10. Todays sale of Castleton ye arlings, the property of James It. Keene. was well attended and good prices were realized. Tlie twenty-live head brought 5,425, an average of ,017 per head. AH the well-known owners and trainers were present and most of them were bidders. A bay colt by Hen Brush White Rose brought the top price, going to K. F. Little for .$:i.0O0. The next best price was ,100, paid by John E. Madden for a bay lilly by Disguise Edltlia. ITill Chinn paid ,000 for a bay colt by Ben Brush Coppelia, anil a bay lilly by Hen I.rush Biturica also brought ,000. going to W. H. Stewart. Tlie last named is a half-sister to Maskette and it is rumored that Mr. Stewart was acting for the owner. Mr. Keene was on hand early in the day and was busily engaged prior to the sale in showing his stock to intending purchasers.
