Lawton Wiggins, after forward pursuit of the pacemaker in the early running, drew out midway of the Mietch and won after a mild drive. Takahira, prominently placed from the start, .was crowded on the stretch turn and made a belated, but fast, end challenge and Is in rare form. SM?l!loiind ran in nearest early pursuit of the pacemaker, but was crowded back on the turn and just lasted long enough to hold third place. Tony Bonero, away badly, steadily improved his position into a fast going and close lip fourth. Iloiiniel made the running to midway of the stretch before succumbing and is, promising., Miss Kearney had scant chance under a bad ride. Doniinus Arvi ran in brief parly prominence, but was never dangerous. Touchwood, decisively. The latter ran in nearest and persistent pursuit throughout, went wide at the Liverpool, losing a half dozen lengths, hut otherwise had no mishaps. O. K. ran the most prominently of the others and-held on well. Viihalla retired at the end of a mile. Adjutor was in brief early prominence. Angerona, well up throughout, was a game and close up fourth, but not good enough. Jacqueliua was hopelessly outpaced and beaten off. Bobbie Kean outbroke and outpaced the others to midway of the stretch, then tired and his rider was caught napping at the end. Killochan was always in prominent pursuit and a game and persistent finisher. King Sol ran in nearest contention to midway of the stretch, but tired finally. Footpad had no olmnce with an Inexcusably bad rider pulling up with every stride and whipping through the last half. The winner was entered for ,000; no bid. Bonnie Kelso outbroke the others and his rider was unable to restrain him for the first half, but was taken back in the third quarter, then forged into the lead again on the backstretch and held sway comfortably to the end. Mellowinint. after nearest early attendance, set the pace around the far turn and relinquished his advantage, but held on in nearest pursuit of the winner to the end in a superior performance. Gus Helm was reserved patiently in the rear for half of the journey and closed a big gap like a stayer. AVIltou I.ackaye was well up for the first mile, but failed to stay. Indomitable was a prominent contender for over a mile. Al II. AVoods, well up early, was shuttled back on the far turn and finished fast. The winner was entered for 00: no bid.
