STAKE RACING OF THE PRESENT WEEK. One more week of racing remains" to be disposed of at Empire City. In its course four stake races will be run. The first will be the Knickerbocker Handicap at three-quarters of a mile, for three-year-olds, to be run Tuesday afternoon. It has Field Mouse, Arondack, Wise Mason, Prince Gal, Kffendi, Takahira. Practical, High Range. Plate Glass and Rubia Granda among its eligibles that may start. The Frivolity Stakes, for two-year-olds, is set for Wednesday. It is a selling dash of five and a half furlongs with Little King, Colinet, Douau. Sureget, Crossover, Tyras. Dalmatian, Cherryola, Ueybourn, Pretend, Fauntloroy, Green-vale, Hesponsful, Foursome and Hadiura Star the pick of its nominations. Thursday will bring about the running of the Arrow Stakes for three-year-olds and over at three-quarters of a mile. This has such swift ones as Nimbus. Cohort. Ida D., Dreamer, Spooner. The Squire, Watervllet, Wisa Mason, Royal Captive, Besom, Eyebright. Jolly, Black Mary. Al Muller, Lawton Wiggins, Personal and Rubia Granda engaged and since it is a selling race, owners will arrange weights to suit themselves. The last stake race of the meeting will be decided next Saturday, the closing day of the meeting. It is the ,500 Mt. Vernon Handicap at a mile for three-year-olds and over. It has Jack Atkin, Live Wire. King Cobalt. Alfred Noble, The Squire. Arcitc; Lady Bedford. Kings Daughter, Effendi. Zienap. Cohort. Wise Mason. Huck, Arondack, Petticoat. Half Sovereign. Tony Bonero and Eyebright to furnish a good field and should bring about a lively and exciting contest. The Fort Erie stake program has been exhausted. The meeting conies to an end next Wednesday and there will be a lull in Canadian racing until it is resumed at Windsor next Saturday. Here the Frontier Handicap will be the big feature of the opening day. It is a dash of a mile and an eighth and among the good horses nominated from which the starters wili coine are Tourenne. The Minks, Terah, Piute. Superstition, Guy Fisher, All Red, Stromeland. Uncle Toby. Old Honesty. Orbicular, Czar, Hanbridge, Slnieoe. Reidmoore, Green Seal, Miss Sain, ZIpango. Glimmer; Charlie Gilbert, Polly Prim and Light Wool. Among those entered, but which will go to Saratoga instead of Windsor, are King James. Fitz Herbert. Uestigouche. Jack Atkin, Tony Faust, Olambala, Wintergreen and Juggler. The Windsor meeting will continue to August 21.
