MMANTJS LOT OF BARGAIN YEARLINGS. Seven Bought for Aggregate of 55 Look as Promising as Higher Priced Lots, Lexington. Kv.. Julv 24. The seven weanlings that James McManus, of Paris, was able to buy for an insignificant amount in the closing hours of the McGraihiana Stud dispersal sale last October, because they were too lean, scrawny and runty for the more exacting buyers, now compare favorably In appearance with any of the yearlings at the Kentucky Association track. They have been transformed from animals with scarcely enough animation to walk, into seven well-grown, clean-limbed, smooth-coated, high-spirited yearlings. Mr. McManus is content to pay their training bills in the expectation and belief that among the seven there will be at least one serviceable racer that will repav him for his small investment of .55. Charles J. iiaggiu has been engaged to break them for him. Haste was likewise a winner and is the dam of Short Cut. May Kllen. Brusquerie. Itaiiid Transit and Hurry Up. Sweet Nell, another winner, is a half-sister to Jack Kattlln, Johnny Williams. Barabas and Malleable. Mallow is the dam of six winners Ora McKinney, Byzantine, Mollic. Nobby. Melba and Deacon.. Tocsin produced Kirkwood and Little Lighter.
