SELLING RACE ACTIVITY AT SARATOGA. An unusual amount of running up and claiming of horses in telling races marked the opening week of the Saratoga meeting. H. G. Hedwell, who has acquired some of bis most useful campaigners by the selling race process, figured most prominently in the transactions. J. S. Ward was another active participant.
