GUTTENBERG RACE TRACK STILL IN USE, The old Guttenberg race track, at Union Hill. N. J., is now used as a training ground for trotters and is the scene of a matinee meeting each Sunday under the auspices of the Gentlemens Driving Park Association of Guttenberg. The track itself Is in good condition, but of the buildings which once ornamented the grounds, only the judges stand remains, and that dilapidated structure sways and creaks ominously when occupied. The harness races nowadays held at the old track are for sVort only. No purses are given and no betting is permitted, but the local horsemen, amateur and professional, seem to struggle as earnestly for blue ribbons as did the turfmen in the old days when thousands of dollars were staked on. each race run.
