Miss Mapieton ran green early, but came 011 gamely when she got settled in her stride, Eleanor Robson, evidently , a false alarm, was off forwardly and met with no mishaps, set the early pace and quit badly. Golconda ran well, but tired in the stretch drive. Elder was caught iu a jam. soon after the start, stumbled and was knocked sideways by Golconda and fell.
