HILDRETH LIKELY TO USE JOCKEY DUGAN. Saratoga. X. Y.. August 2S. The indefinite suspension of jockev Vincent Powers imposes a handicap upon Sam Ilildrelli, who got -rid of Guy Bums and took a contract on Powers as soon as he np-iienred in the east. Powers rode Fitz Herbert for Ilildrelli in the Lawrence Realization with consummate skill, ami if the stewards of the Jockey Club had not Indefinitely continued the suspension Imposed bv the stewards of tile Saratoga meeting, lie would haw ridden Fitz Herbert in his races at Sheepshead Bay, Gravesend and Belmont Park. The suspended jockey Is at lliidreths house at Sheepshead Bay now. , ... What an indefinite suspension may mean in the case of Powers it is difficult to say. But when the stewards of the Jockey Club act in such a case, they generally think they have reason for acting and do not quickly relent. , , Jockev Eddie Dugan will probably do much ,- of lliidreths riding tills fall. Dugan is under contract to ride for the stable of August Belmont, but Mr. Belnlont has few horses with dates that conillct with those Of llle horses of the Hildreth stable. Half Sovereign anil Field .Mouse are good llllies, but they will hardly race against Fltz Herbert, Restigouche, Iiiug James and Uncle.
