PROSPECTS FOR TORONTO MEETING. Buffalo. N. Y,, August 30. W. P. Fraser. secretary of the Ontario Jockey Club, was a visitor at Fort Erie this afternoon. Mr. Fraser brings glowing accounts of the prospects for the meeting which will be held at Woodbine this fall. The Ontario Jockey Club has been extremely liberal to the horsemen and every effort will be made to provide high-class, sport during the seven days meeting which will iKgin September 18 and continue to and including Septemlcr 25. There will bo eleven stakes and 0,300 will be added to the purses by the club, with 00 as the smallest purse- The overnight handicaps1, will range In valne from 1909.sh00 upward; There will also be a steeplechase every day. to which SS00 will be added, and as an incentive to the riders tlwi club will add SCO to the jumping races to be divided among the successful jockeys.
