REVIVAL OF RACING IN MISSOURI. Barney Schreiber Arranging Details of Meeting to Be Held Next Month at St. Charles Track. St. Louis, Mo., September 13. Barney Schreiber, the well-known Missouri turfman, is arranging a race meeting in connection with the St. Charles Centennial celebration. October 11 to ltf. In addition to horses from his own stable, he expects about fifty racers of good reputation to participate. The fair grounds at St. Charles are being put in order for the races, while residents of that town and luvers of the sport in St. Louis are anxiously awaiting for this first revival of horse racing in these parts since Governor Folk appeared on the scene. Some good-sized purses will be hung up and it is expected that the racing will be the principal feature of the celebration.
