Black Mate, snuffled back at the half, closed up rapidly at the end under a weak finish and is extra good. Pantoulle was always decisively outpaced by the front division. Dr. AAaldo Briggs ran forwardly from the start and loomed up well iu the stretch, but tired In the final drive. Bandello showed superior early speed and retired in the stretch. Ethcrial was luckily and forwardly placed for a brief pace, was then reserved patiently iu behind the leader to the stretch and, finishing rapidly under punishment, got up in the last stride. Dreamer drew out quickly and made the running under a pull to "midway of the stretch, but succumbed in the final drive and is extra good. Lad of Langden, outpaced, but within hailing distance always, steadily improved his position in the last half into a fast going third and is in his best forni. Zicnap, shuffled back and outpaced early, finished fast. Angelus lapped the pacemaker for five furlongs and quit badly. Dr. Barkley was well up throughout, but outclassed. Livonia drew out in the first stride, quickly established and maintained a commanding lead and wasunex-lended throughout. Fauntleroy, fresh and good, ran well up from the start and was a fast going second. Dalmatian, away slowly, met early interference, but steadily improved his position and-got up in the last stride for third place in a good effort, but was overweighted. Joe Morris ran into quick and forward pursuit of the pacemaker for a half mile, but tired at the end. Jacquelina. well up from the start, was. on the extreme outside and was carried hopelessly wide, then closed a gait at the end. Scarpia, outpaced iu the,early running, finished well and close up. Uncas Chief, after early prominence, ran out on the turn and collidod with Jacquelina and Hampton Court and quit finally. Chickasaw was always outpaced. Cherryola was overweighted and badly ridden. Black-. ford, knocked to the rear in a collision at the start, closed up rapidly on the inside and was. again crowded out at the half, but closed an immense gap and won as his rider pleased finally. Anno SIcGee. from a Hying start, forced the pace from the start and drew out in the stretch, but succumbed readily to the favorites challenge. Moonshine, away badly, held forth far in the rear for half of the journey and closed, a big gap at the end. Krikina had a bad start and was pulling up in a wide turn and generally niessod about. but finished close up. Rockstone had no mishaps, was prominent for sir furlongs, but quit badly. Ida D. outbroke the others and set the pace for six and a half furlongs, but failed to stay. J. H. Reed ran In prominent contention until he bolted on the last turn. Ashwell, prominently placed In the earlv running, finished wearing the leader down. Naughty Boy closed a gap into a stretch rating third and was lucky. Boola Boola. away slowly on the inside in close quarters, was pocketed In the last half of the journey and finished fastest of all. Lord Baltimore, after early forward pursuit, tired in the closing drive. AVilllng ran prominently all the way and Is promising. Voltaire and Bang finished close up. Don Antonio had beaut chance at the start.
