Hedge Rose, off forwardly, worked his way up on the outside, closed up gamely after entering the homestretch i and won in a canter finally. Shepherds Song began quickly and drew away into a commanding lead in tin; first quarter, but tired badly at the end and finished driving hard to stall off Miss Mapleton. The latter ran on the outside until straightened out in the homestretch and wiis wearing Shepherds Song down at tlie end.
