SUSPECTS THE "NIGHT RIDERS." New York. September 10. Charles C. Van Meter, who has departed for Kentucky with The Fad and his other horses, believes that The Fad was the victim of a "night riding" conspiracy just before his defeat at Yonkers in the Special by Colinut and Donau. The Woolsthorpe gelding has not been himself since that affair and Mr. Van Meter be-1 lleves that nothing will do hint so much good as a long rest. j
