Lord Baltimore, from an inside flatfooted start, was crowded out and pulling up early, then loomed up In the stretch, but tired finally. Master LIsmore, well up throughout. Is a good looker. Dixie Dixon, nearly left, trailed to the stretch and finished like a shot. Little Friend ran .In brief prominence.- Creuse showed superior early- speed, hut quit badly. Essex II. , close up throughout, was a fast going, but lucky, second. Lynnewood drew out at- the end of the first mile and seemed the winner in the last quarter, but lauded badly at the last jump and could never get up again. Sandj- Creeker, reserved well up in the early running, loomed up menacingly in the last half and tired in the closing drive. Rising Star ran well up for a mile and a half and is promising. Alamansor. a close contender for a mile and a half and momentarily in the lead when beginning the second mile, failed to stay. Mary Davis, luckily and forwardly placed, showed plenty of speed, but could never quite get up in the long closing drive, though wearing the leader down at the end. Harrlgan, away slowly, was badly outpaced by the leaders at all stages and ran like a sulker. The Pippin ran prominently and persistently all the way, but was outclassed here. Emperor AAilllam ran well up from the start and was holding his own in the closing drive. Cotytto showed speed to the stretch, but tired arid was palpably short. Question Mark, suddenly Improved, ran in nearest and strenuous early pursuit and dropped back on the last turn and seemed badly beaten, but came again unexpectedly into a fast going second. -Juggler trailed patiently for seven furlongs, then closed up with a rush into a belated but fast going and close up third. Norbitt, swerving at the start and nearly left, closed a big gap in the middle running and loomed up menacingly on the stretch turn, but tired at the end. Lad of Langdcn, after strenuous early close attendance, failed to stay. Tony Isonero closed up rapidly in the middle quarter and appeared menacing on the stretch turn, but quit finally. Western Lady, away in the rear, but a fast beginner, quickly took the lead and set a stiff pace for five furlongs, but tired slightly near the end. Pretend, from a flatfooted start, was shuffled to the rear anil trailed for half of the journey, then closed up well in the stretch, hut was never dangerous. Indian Maid ran prominently to the stretch, then quit and can do better. Turf Star showed brief speed and retired to last place, but was going well in the final strides.
