T. C. MDOWELL LOSES PROMISING YEARLING. Lexington, Ky., September 17. A yearling colt by Sir DIxon-Rracegirdle belonging to Tom McDowell fell while working at the Kentucky Association track, broke a foreleg and was killed to end his pain. The colt was a half-brother to AVoodr lake, winner of the Latonia Derby. The Rival and Lady Anne, and won second prize in the yearling ring at the Blue" Grass Fair this summer. The season to Sir Dixon, of which this youngster was the result, cost Mr. McDowell 00. The Sir DIxon-Bracegirdle yearling "was the best looker at Ashland, and Mr. McDowell was confident lie would make a first-rate two-year-old.
