FAIR PLAY REFUSES TO WORK. New York, September 20. August Belmonts Fair Play, which recently returned to this country from an unsuccessful English campaign, will not work for trainer Thomas Welsh. The horse seems to have soured on racing, and it is likely that Mr. Belmont will send him to the Nursery Stud lu Kentucky.
