ADAM BEDE SOLD TO LOUIS WINANS. Lexington, Ky., April 24. John E. Madden announced this afternoon that lie had sold his Epsom Derby candidate, Adam Bede. to Louis Winans of Brighton, England, and that the good son of Adam will carry the Winans colors in the Derby at Epsom Downs May 28. The sale was made bv cablegram. Mr. Madden declined to name the amount he is to receive for the colt, hut it must. Ik? a fancy sum. Mr. Madden, it will be remembered, sold Sir Martin to Mr. Winans and Hint goiwl horse was racing in the AVinans colors when he fell in the Derby of 1009.
