HORSES NOW HEADING FOR JUAREZ. El Paso, Texas. October 31. From Reno. Nevada and Kenilworth, Canada, ten carloads of thoroughbreds are en route to the Juarez race track, according to telegrams received here from a number of turfmen whose stables are included in the shipments. Reservations have been made at the over-river plant for the horses now on the road. Several other shpiments from Reno, Kenilworth, Latonia and the Maryland tracks arc expected to be made within the next few days. Present indications are that there will be from 500 to 000 runners quartered at the oval when the meeting of 100 days or more is inuuguarted on Thanksgiving. Many new faces will be seen here this winter, according to information received from the Canadian circuits. Owners and trainers who have heretofore "laid up" their strings during the winter intend shipping to Juarez to campaign their horses on the Mexican track. Among the owners who have shipped from Reno are: Fred and Harry Wallhauser, with nine head; General Pickett, Shadow, La Belle Brocade, Thirst, Wand, Crankie. First Rays, Quiz and Marie Coghill; George Crippen, with Charley McFcrran, Bermu-dian, Prince Conrad, Thirty-Seven, Tuffy, Prepaid, 1 and two others; Mr. Singleton, with Robert Man-tell. C. M. Johnson, Stella Graine and two others; Rest and Co., with Senorita Dana and Barnard; Mrs. Monihan with Peter Stalwart and two others; Mr. Shields, with Superl and Major Bell; Mr. Short, witli Tom Chapman; Roy Sheldon, with Crispie and Force; Joe Stevens with Milton Roblee; Swarts with Ferrona; Mr. Higgenbotjiani with Regards and Goggety; Mr. Morgan with Zia and Wise Mason; Mr. lots with Delmas and the Arcadia stable, with Atlalid and Famosa. Several turfmen, who have been campaigning their stables on the Canadian circuits this summer, have left Kenilworth Park, Windsor, Out., for Juarez with their stables. This information was received by a number of turfmen, who have been stopping at the Hotel Charles. Four caroalds have left Windsor and a number of others will start soon. Mai Doyle, in a telegram from Detroit, Mich., states that fully 150 horses will be shipped from Canadian tracks to Juarez. Among the owners, who have signified their intention of shipping their stables here within the next few days, are Fred Ferris, William McKinney, owner of Mud Sill and others; J. C. Mays, and many others. Word has been received here from Harry F. Breivogel. assistant manager of the Juarez track, to the effect that he will arrive in El Paso early in November to arrange for the opening of the meeting and the installation of the mutuels. The mutuel machines promise to prove very popular with the race-goers here this winter. The Wallhauser Brothers, who will campaign nine head here this winter, have signed a contract with jockey W. Mclntyre, who will pilot their runners throughout the Juarez meeting. N. Taylor will ride for Mr. Cripp.
