DEVONSHIRES BIG CROWD LAVISH PATRONAGE FROM DETROIT CONTINUES TO THRONG THE NEW TRACK. Crepuscule Takes Another Race -with Ease Good Reports Concerning the. Progeny of Judge Wright Egmont Claimed After Winning Thursday. Windsor, Out., November 3. There was another good crowd in attendance on the races at Devonshire Park this afternoon, seven thousand making the trip from Detroit to witness the sport. The card brought out the best of the selling platers at the course and furnished interesting racing that was marked by close finishes. Grant Hugh Brownes Crepuscule, which had won at her previous start, accounted for the race for two-year-olds. She was slow at the start and, after being outpaced in the early running, came on fast in the stretch and won under restraint. Francis J. Pons lias received a good offer for the two-year-old Swift Fox from J. B. Respess. This is one of the few two-year-olds this year to run three-quarters as fast as 1:12. Mr. Pons also received word from trainer Brnnnan that the best of the thirteen yearlings he has belonging to Mr. lons are two by Judge Wright, which is now racing at Devonshire Park. George Phillips claimed the horse Egmont out of the last race yesterday for ,050 from W. A. McKinney. who bought him from W. Walker some time ago. Word was received here this afternoon that C. L. Jones, the partner of Charles Smith, is sick in Chicago. Hydroplane was run in blinkers with the permission of the stewards. The books for the meeting at Bowie have been distributed among the horsemen here and have met with approval. The majority of the owners! racing here will ship to Bowie for the coming meeting there. Tlie interests of the Bowie track are being looked after by A. F. Dayton. The meeting here, which lias been one of the most successful in Windsor this year, will be brought to a close tomorrow with an offering of seven well-filled races. A. T. Dobsou left tonight for San Francisco. J. B. Goodman claimed Royal Tea from G. S. Kerr after the fiftli race yesterday for 50.
