IMPORTANT SALE OF STAR SHOOT FOALS. New York, November 3. J. E. Madden, of Hamburg Place, has sold to H. P. Headley, who, with W. B. Miller of New York City, owns Uncle, a son of Star Shoot, twenty-seven foals by Star Shoot. These foals are now at Hamburg Place, but will be transferred to Beaumont Stock Farm -within the next few days. No price was given out in connection with this sale, but it is known that Mr. Madden received a substantial amount. Mr. Madden raises more than a hundred foals every year and a similar sale to this was made in 1915, when Gifford Cochran purchased forty head of yearlings, half Star Shoots and half Ogdens. The Star Shoot youngsters sold, to Mr. Headley, with their color, sex and dnms, are as follows: Chestnut colt, dam Bold Girl; bay colt, dam Busy Maid; chestnut colt, dam Blue Grass; bay colt, dam Copyist; brown colt, dam Courtplaster; bay colt, dom Doria; chestnut colt, dam Dorothy Hampton; bay colt, dam Flora Pomona; chestnut colt, dam Mamie Worth; chestnut colt, dam Miss Granville; bay colt, dam Miss Kearney; chestnut colt, dam Plaster; chestnut colt, dom Partridge; bay colt, dam Raglan; chestnut colt, dam The Lady in Blue chestnut filly, dam Decoy: chestnut filly, clam Dolly Higgins; bay filly, dam Fair Louise; chestnut filly, dam Janeta; chestnut filly, dam Lady Tarantella; bay filly, dam Laura Harris; bay filly, dam Largo: bay filly, dam Little Buttercup; bay filly, dam Lady Schorr; chestnut filly, dam Pedigree; bay filly, dam Sanctuary; bay filly, dam Sweet Marjoram.
