Baltimore , Md., November 3. The Maryland Jockey Club furnished a well-devised program for Iimlico patrons this afternoon. The card was a decided improvement over that of the opening day. The Towson Steeplechase was run in two divisions as the second and fourth races. The conditions stipulated that the rider of tins winner in each race was to be presented with 00 by the Maryland Jockey Club and the maiden jockeys were hustling from start to finish. Dom Moran, from the stable of II. W. Sage, with I. Holly in the saddle, won the first division of the race, while Mrs. 1. II. Stetsons Sixty Four, after rather a trying race, won the second division by a long margin. I. Byers had the mount on the latter. A well-matched field went to the post for the Forest Park Purse, a dash of three-quarters, run as the tiftli race. It furnished a stirring finish, in which The Decision, which ran coupled with Grand Opera as the J. K. Tompkins purchased of Samuel Louis this morning the St. Savin gelding St. Charlcote, which will le shipped to Warrenton and, during the winter months, will be schooled over the jumps with the idea of making a steeplechaser of him. St. Charlcote was a frequent winner on the Canadian circuit during the past racing season. J. J. Cochrans entry in the race. The 5,000 Manly Memorial Steeplechase, which will be run at Iimlico Tuesday, is attracting much attention from the Hunt Club set through the country.
