TIM BURR WINS POINT-TO-POINT RACE. Baltimore, Md.. April Is. — Taking his fences in easy fashion anil literally running away from his opponents in the last quarter, Tim Burr, carrying the silks of J. M. learce. won the annual Point-to-1oint • Steeplechase at Mr. Ladys Manor, defeating :t small, but select band of cross-country performers. Mrs. Frank A. Bonsais Robert Grace was second. while the third honors went to 11. T. Pearees Whipperpool. The race, which was originally scheduled for Kastcr Monday, opened the cross-country racing season and was witnessed by a large gathering. It was over two and a half miles of natural country and was run in fast time. apt. Ralph Hutch-ins of the Fifth Regiment, rode the winner. J. M. Pearcc, the owner of Tim Burr, was presented with a beautiful silver loving cup, donated by Walter B. Brooks, Jr., while Captain Hutching was presented with a silver cigarette case.
