ADDITIONAL ATTRACTION FOR DERBY DAY. Old Ro: cbud, Roamer and Boots to Measure Stiide At Weight-for-Ago That Afternoon. Louisville. K.v.. April 17. — If pinna of general manager M. J. Winn of the New Louisville Jockey Club go through, on Derby Day at Churchill Downs there will be another race on the program, which will rival, in the point of interest. Kentuckys most historic race. It is planned to have Old Rosebud, the famous "come-back." which now appears as good as le- was in May. lJl 1, when he won the Derby: Roamer. which by his great races has earned I niche high in the annals of American turfdom, and P.oots. which ranks at the top of stars that have recently sported silks on the turf this side of the Atlantic, meet in a race at a mile and a sixteenth. It will tie a weight-forage affair and if the track is fast that day, a new record may be made. Col. Winn has been working on this race and the thre" owners, it is understood, were glad to get into the race, which will help make history for Kentuckys most historic track. All three mentioned for this race have won a host of followers and just what can be expected of them in the future will be known that afternoon. The race, probably, will In- the fourth on the program Derby day. For years Col. Winn lias been doing yoenian service trying to put the Derby on the map as the greatest race of the year for three-year-olds, and, that he is succeeding, is shown by the fact that the Jockey Club has been able to add ."i.MX» to the race this year. Another thing of interest is that the Derby is being discussed as much this year in the east as it is in Kentucky.
