WALTER M. JEFFORDS ELECTED CHAIRMAN. Walter M. Jeffords, of Glen Kiddle, has been elected chairman of the race committee of the Rose Tree Fox Hunting Club. He succeeds M. Boy Jackson, the M. F. II. of the Hunt. The latter finds his duties in connection with the runs of the hounds such as to take up all of his time, hence his retirement. This does not mean he will not be found wurkiug for the race meeting, which this year will be run three days in place of the customary two. A good part of tin- improvement of the course at Media and the increase in the purses of the last couple of years are due to Mr. Jacksons personal attention, and he means to continue this interest. His sole reason for declining the chairmanship is that he cannot give the time to be responsible for the many details. Mr. Jeffords is keenly interested and is sure to till the position to tin- satisfaction of all. Both h* and Mrs. Jeffords are already planning several new events for next fall.
