SOME BIG RACING STRINGS IN EUROPE. The King of Spain has no fewer than thirty-one horses iu training at Madrid under the care of M. A. De Neuter. The great majority of these. which range in age from Charing Cross 7 down to the two-year-olds, of which there are seven, are of French breeding. A number of them, however, are by English stallions, such as St. Bris. Admirable. Crlehton. Prince William. Bridge of Earn, Gorgos. William Kufus, Simon Square, Bam-rod and Airlie. The Kings crack four-year-old Antivari. which is by Seasick — Arva. is not included in the Madrid string, being trained by Jean Lieux at Maisons Latfitte. R. Denman. by the way. has no fewer than sixty-three horses in his care at Chamant. J. D. Colin owning sixty-one of them and Lord Michelhani the other two. Mr. Cohn is run close by W. K. Vanderbilt in the matter of the number of horses in training, the latter having fifty -seven for Duke to look after at St. Louis de Poissy. — London Sportsman.
