HORSES CROWDING INTO LEXINGTON. Stables of Corrigan and McKinney, R. D. Williams and Emil Herz Among Latest Arrivals. Lexington, Ky.. April 23.— The horses that will be raced at the Kentucky Associations spring meeting in the colors of Corrigan and McKinney. It. D. Williams and Kmil Herz arrived liere today from ■Louisville. The Corrigan and McKinney string is Pmade up of Basil. Acabado. Mida. Land League, Meliora, Poor Joe. Compadre, Felicitation, Hindu Dress and Noontide. Trainer John Whalen did not come over today, but stable agent Arbucklo accompanied the shipment as did jockey B. Kleeger. Iu the R. D. Williams string, which is accompanied by jockeys Wiugfield and Lapaille, are Grasmere, Impressive. Jocular. James. January, Jovial, Juvenile, Sedan, Kling, Kotbly, Kernan, Koran and Kith. The Herz string, in charge of trainer J. J. Flan-nagan and accompanied by Jockey F. Keogh, comprises Manister Toi. Eagle, Daddys Choice, Peep Sight. Success, Armament, Star Gazer, Chieftain and Frank Keogh. The State Racing Commission will meet Saturday morning at 11:30 oclock to adopt an amendment to the rules governing claiming races, to name a supervisor of pari-mutuels. who in all probability, according to rumor, will be John B. McLaughlin of Lexington and to pass upon applications for licenses for trainers, jockeys and apprentices. Secrcatry S. C. Xuckols requests that all who will apply for licenses do so by Thursday liest. E. R. Bradley this morning sold Black Coffee to C.eorge It. Jennings of Latonia. who lias a couple of two-year-olds by Jim Gaflw-y at the local track. W. B. Jennings and jockey Loftus were hero from Louisville this afternoon and n turned tonight, l.oftus will come here to ride Ticket the opening day. Col. W. B. Appl-gate arrived today from Louisville. 1 M. Civill came in from Hot Springs. Their horses will Ik- here Wednesday. Jockey Pickens Arrives from Tijuana. Jockey A. Pii kens, who is to ride as a free lance, came in this morning from Tijuana. A flag«taff is being erected in the centerficld and, on the opening day. there is to be an impressive flag-raising ceremony.
