CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. Jockey W. Crump has ridden fourteen winners in seven Bays racing at Lexington. G. R. Jennings has sold to A. W. Ramlto. the chestnut gelding Sir Haste, 3, by Hastings — Artemisia. Jefferson Livingstons stable has won 1917.sh,034 in stakes and purses at the Kentucky Associations spring meeting at Lexington. W. W. Dardens Nannie Hodge has an except ion -ably fine foal, a chestnut colt by Ivan the Terrible. This is a brother to the stake winners Little Father aad Hodge. The mure will be returned to Ivan the Terrible. Mr. Harden had the misfortune to lose two previous foals by accidental deaths. A. R. Loudon, secretary of the Hamilton Jockey Tub. was among yesterdays arrivals at Lexington. He stated that Canadian racing prospects for this year are excellent and that he expects a banner number of stake entries to the announced fixtures ofTered by his track. The entries to these stakes close May 14. The New Louisville Jockey Club will distribute close to 0,000 next Saturday. Half the amount will augment the entrance und starting fees of the Derby, while ,000 will be allotted to the more than 200 employes of the pari-mutuel department. Another ,000 will pay the salaries of officials and divers expenses.
