RESTRICTED RACING IN FRANCE BEGINS. Paris. France. May 7. — Today at Chantilly a series of horse races will begin, to lie followed by Batatas* series at Maisons Lafitte. with prizes aggregating nearly half u million dollars. This money conies from a fund obtained before the war by the Society for the F:ncouragenieiit of Horse Breeding in France. No betting will be permitted and no spectators allowed, even the members of the immediate families of the horse owners being excluded. Several well known Americans will be represented including W. K. Yanderhlit. Thomas Hitchcock, William Astor Chanler and the Wideners of Philadelphia. Famous trainers, such as William Duke and Deb Keif, and the jockeys Frankie ONeil, Mat-tie Mctiee and Guy Gerner will take part.
