Berryasaa of the Thoroughbred Horse Association said: "This association, standing as it does for the ieiprovemi lit of the thoroughbred horse, the upbuilding of the turf, the betterment of the sport of racing and the edification of abase who participate in and patronize that sport, can but disapprove the operation of a syndicate ring, especially in the good state of Michigan and it is to be hoped that the authorities at Mt. Clemens will allow only the pari-mutiud pools to lie instituted at any meeting that may be held there. "Horseiiieii. especially members of the Thoroughbred Horse Association, should not enter their horses at any meeting at which a syndicate ring is operated."
