Burke lias just received, two thoroughbreds from Saratoga, which he bought while there, and three more which he had turned out in Michigan. He says he is in the market for a dozen Or more of the useful sort as he desires to take a strong stable to Cuba this winter. He entertains a high opinion of Cuba as a place in which to winter horses, and says it is without a doubt the best spot for that purpose which he ever has visited. He also says that he has had several flattering offers for the -winter contract, on the. services, of jockey Petz, as the contract which Mr. Parsons holds for first call on the boy applies only to the regular metropolitan season, but he has decided to take the boy to Cuba With him.
