JOCKEY FRANK ROBINSON IS INJURED Serious Accident in Yesterdays Sixth Race at Bowie May Result Fatally for Popular Rider BOWIE Md April 4 A serious accident which may prove fatal for F Robinson Americas premier rider marred the running of the sixtli race at JSowie today Doyle on Garbage cut sharply across in front when approaching the first turn causing Roederer on which Robinson had the mount to fall Manioc and Dr Charcot and finally Marianao fell over them Robinson was carried from the track unconscious A doctor diagnosed his cdndition as a badly fractured skull He was removed to Uni ¬ versity Hospital Baltimore Mooney McTaggart and Snoldniiin apparently escaped with a severe shaking up After the mishap Garbage drew away and won easily but was disqualified and first place awarded to Harwood with Fairly second and Miss McGiggle third thirdAnother Another disqualification came in the closing race when Bill Hiinley after crossing the winning line first was set back because Pauleys efforts to keep him straight in the stretch resulted in Bill Hun ley cutting the others off with the favorite Edith Raumann getting the worst of it Despite itDespite forbidding skies a large attendance was on hand to witness the running of the Expectation Purse and six other races all of which were well contested and keenly enjoyed fashion AAell ridden by Rice he was saved in the early running to keep within striking distance of Mahony and Relario whose riders set a break ¬ neck pace After racing themselves intoexhaustion Rice called on Dan Bright and he resj onded in gal ¬ lant style to win in a canter Mahony held on to hold second place with Belario a tired third thirdWINTER WINTER TWOYEAROLD WINS Another winter twoyearold scored when Beck and Call won the opener Hanky openerHanky Panky appearing in blinkers displayed much improvement and turned the tables on Frizeur over their last meeting The Ferryman wearing the stables first colors and a grand looker but high in flesh Iwgan slowly but created almost as good an impression as did his stablemate by the manner in stretchJames which he came through the stretch James McGinnis assistant to starter James Mil ¬ ton was an arrival from Havana He will pro ¬ ceed to Havre de Grace to direct the barrier school ¬ ing there thereCarroll Carroll Shilling the former crack rider was a visitor from Laurel where he has assisted in the preparation of the Commander Ross stable Fred stableFred Littlefield the wellknown turfman was a visitor He reported that nine horses would be shipped from Robert AAaldens Middleburg 3rd farm to Havre de Grace on April 11 11The The AA7 C Clancy string delayed in shipment reached Havre de Grace today todayManager Manager Burke of the Havre de Grace track lias completed the construction of two large stables one of which will house the horses of Mrs AA M Jef ¬ fords and Glen Riddle Farm The latter consign ¬ ment will include fifty five head headMed Med Henderson the noted steeplechase rider has been exercising himself into condition at Benning for the coming steeplechase season seasonHarry Harry Bilson has been released from the army and has returned to racing Jockey racingJockey R Pauley was suspended for three days having been held responsible for the disqualification of Bill Hiinley in the seventh race
