MACK GARNER AGAIN WINS S Scores His Second Victory of Mount Royal Park Meeting in Impressive Style. MONTREAL, Que., September 27. Mack Garner shouldered top weight and won the Victoria Handicap, I the feature of the third days racing at Mount Royal Park this afternoon. This was his second success at this meeting. He led throughout and g scored impressively over My Mazie and First Pullet. Closing with a well-timed rush through the s stretch, Zoie defeated some shifty performers in t the sixth race. J. W. Whytes Landless proved to be gamer than A Almirante when the final test came and he annexed I the fifth race, which was for Canadian-breds. Diocletian never left the result in doubt in the o opening dash, but Prophecy nosed out Peaceful Star i: in the last stride of the third race. Ideal autumn weather prevailed, and the usual n midweek crowd of generous proportions witnessed 1 the sport. Andrew Duggan, father of Theo. Duggan, president j of the Back River Jockey Club, died suddenly j, here this afternoon of heart failure. He was about t the course viewing the racing twenty minutes before f he expired. Mr. Duggan was in his seventy-fourth f year. The books for the autumn meeting at Erie, Pa., were distributed among horsemen here today, and s several have signified their intention to ship there f for that meeting. Trainer E. F. Riley will ship the A. B. Spreckels j, horses from here to Belmont Park, N. Y.
