FANNIE BEAN, after being saved under slight restraint to the stretch, slipped through on the inside and quickly raced into an easy lead. DOVESROOST showed the most early speed and held FAIR VIRGINIA safe at the end. FAIR VIRGINIA was a forward contender for the entire race. CHATEAl"-GAY finished resolutely. ARARAT, away quickly, set a great pace to the stretch, but tired badly through the final eighth HOBEY BAKER gained steadily from a slow beginning. RALCO ran well and saved ground on the turns. Tlie latter worked her way up between the horses and finished fast. IRISH KISS came extrem cly. wide when entering the stretch and lost ground.
