PLUS ULTRA, well ridden and running well in the soft track, raced into a long lead nt once and easily won all the way. BRITISH MAID moved up gamely in tiic stretch and easily held second place safe. SHIPMATE raced in closest pursuit to the stretch and tired. HAZEL W. ran well in the going. BERMONT was away slowly and only ran ordinarily well. SALAMANDER, away well and kept in the best going, showed the most speed all the way and easily held BUCKINGHAM safe. The latter, also away well, followed the winner closely and made a game finish. PETIE raced prominently and finshed well. NIG ran a good race. SIR JOHN REVE .finished well. MIDNIGHT STORIES tired. SEA COURT set a good pace nearly all the way, but was tiring at the end. RAMA had to race wide from the start and suffered from interference; but finished resolutely.
