ARNOLD ROTHSTEIN SELLS HIS HORSES NEW YORK, N. Y., October 17. Carrying out his intention announced several months ago Arnold Rothstein, owner of the Redstone Stable, has disposed of all his horses in training to the Foreign Stable, the nom de course of Mrs. Wilfred Viau. The horses sold were Gladiator, Georgie, Billy McLaughlin, Monastery and Vice Regal. Georgie and Monastery raced in the colors of their new owner at Empire City today. Rothstein announced that he would retire from racing shortly before he sold the star of his string, Sporting Blood, to H. C. Fisher at Saratoga. The colt later won the Latonia Championship and Rothstein received 35 per cent of his winnings under the terms of the sale. The horses sold to the Foreign Stable are all useful racers. Georgie, four-year-old son of Star Shoot Fair Atalanta, has been racing at the top of his form this fall. He recently defeated Knob-bie in the Interborough Handicap at the Jamaica course. Gladiator has proved a disappointment in his recent starts. He has not lived up to his early season promise. The other three are of the cheaper grade, although good performers in their own class. Rothstein will devote bis attention hereafter to the real estate and insurance business.
