Won driving; second and third the same. SWEEPY, in closest pursuit from the start, passed KNOT GRASS in the stretch and outstayed ORISELDA at the end. GRISELDA gradually improved her position and was forced wide when entering the stretch, but finished fast and would have won in another stride. KNOT GRASS at once raced into a long lead, but tired badly in the last eighth. NOSE DIVE finished resolutely. TIMBREL closed a big gap. ATTA GAL saved ground on the turns, but tired. KNIGHT OF THE HEATHER followed the early leaders closely until well into the stretch, where 3ie quickly took the lead and held sWay to the finish. VALOR saved ground on the far turn, but was forced to come wide when entering the stretch and lost ground, then easily passed the others into second place. THE BOY, close up all the way. held on resolutely in the final drive. WHISK closed a big gap from a slow beginning. APPLE JACK II. set a fast pace and was pulled up when he tired in the last eighth. The latter saved ground on the turns, but tired when called on for a final effort. BON HOMME forced a fast pace from the start and raced into the lead, but was tiring through the last eighth. AUDACIOUS raced gamely, hut could never improve his position. ELECTED II. retired after going a half mile. GEORGIE rushed to the front quickly, but retired early and came wide around the last turn.
