Won easily; second and third driving. MISS COLIN was saved close up to the stretch, then passed CALISTOGA when called on and was under slight restraint at the finish. CALISTOGA showed much speed and set a good pace, but gave way when challenged. EARLY BIRD ran well and outstayed LITTLE AMMIE. The latter raced forwardly. 3WIFTCRICKET quit in the final drive. Won driving; second and third the same. SHOAL jumped well and, taking the lead with a rush, stood a hard drive gamely and outgamed JIM COFFROTH in the final drive. The latter raced to the front when BARONET was tiring and made a resolute finish. KATHRYN HARLAN jumped well. BABY GRAND while in close pursuit of the leaders, saved ground on the turns and, finishing fast, wore the leaders down and was going away at the end. STEP LIGHTLY showed much speed from the start and raced MOTOR COP into defeat, but could not withstand the rush of the winner. ARARAT ran well and finished fast. FRANKLIN ran well, but tired after getting on equal terms witli the winner at the eighth post. BLAZONRY finished fust after being outpaced in the early running. SUMMER SIGH raced gamely. EDNA D. was much used in racing CELIVA into defeat and tired, but outstayed her at the end. The latter tired after setting the pace for the first half. YEOMANETTE began slowly and closed a gap. MONTALVO came wide on the stretch turn, but finished fast and easily passed GRENADIER. The latter set a good pace to the far turn and tired. TUSCAN" MAIDEN raced well to the stretch.
