FORMER JOCKEYS APPEAL George Withers the oldtime jockey and trainer who was well known in Chicago is in the General Hospital for the Insane at Philadelphia and is appealing to his friends for assistance in securing his release George claims that he was railroaded into the asy ¬ lum two years ago deprived of his money and property and that he has been held there without an opportunity to communi ¬ cate with his friends The letter detailing Georges troubles was written on scrap paper and smuggled out of the hospital The au ¬ thorities declare that he Is mildly insane
