MAX HIESCHS YOUNG RIDER SAN FRANCISCO Cal February 23 Edgar Legere a promising apprentice rider who has been at his home in Oakland this winter has left for Belmont Park where he will report to Max Hirsch The youngster is clean cut and of exemplary habits and may develop into a star of the first magni ¬ tude tudeLast Last year was his first experience on a race track For about two years he had been galloping horses at John H Rosscters Wikiup Rancho so was not altogether green when he threw a leg up on Lady Inez the first mount of his career The little fellow handled the filly with such skill she landed in second place Under the able tutelage of Max Hirsch it is probable he will soon get to the front if there is the right stuff in him
